Lot 386: Wemyss Plichta Pottery Thistle Cat Figurine
A Wemyss Plichta Pottery ceramic cat figurine, depicted seated with a bowed head. The figurine features hand-painted thistle motifs in green and pink on its body and head, with green eyes and grey/black ear tips and tail. The white glazed surface displays extensive craquelure. The underside is marked with green stamps “PILCHTA”, “LONDON”, and “MADE IN ENGLAND”.
Condition report:
Chip to the left ear. Extensive craquelure consistent with age. Discoloration to the base, indicating wear.
