Lot 14: Royal Albert Bone China Dinner and Decorative Service, Old Country Roses, 20th Century
An extensive collection of Royal Albert English bone china in the iconic Old Country Roses pattern, originally designed by Harold Holdcroft in 1962. The service features the signature transfer-printed clusters of burgundy, pink, and yellow roses with green foliage set against a white ground. Each piece is designed with a classic scalloped rim and finished with heavy, hand-applied stippled gilding. The comprehensive grouping includes a variety of tableware and cabinet pieces: multiple dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, a large oval serving platter, and a gravy boat with a matching underplate. The decorative assortment comprises three vases of varying silhouettes, a lidded ginger jar, a rectangular trinket box, a small floral-encrusted heart-shaped box, and a candle holder. All items feature the standard Royal Albert Old Country Roses backstamp to the base. Platter measures approximately 33cm in length; dinner plates approximately 26cm diameter.
