A vintage promotional figurine for Courage Brewery and a hand-carved bottle opener. The gold-toned cast metal rooster is mounted on a black rectangular base featuring the slogan TAKE COURAGE in red lettering. The underside of the base bears the embossed inscription MOULDED FOR COURAGE & CO LTD BY MICA PRODUCTS LTD TONBRIDGE, KENT. Accompanying the figurine is a hand-carved and painted wooden bottle opener executed in a folk-art style, depicting a man’s head and bust with a hat and neckerchief. The metal opener component is integrated into the base of the wooden handle.
