Lot 139: A Royal Worcester Summer's Dream Limited Edition Bone China Figurine
A Royal Worcester fine bone china figurine titled Summer’s Dream, sculpted by Valerie Annand for Compton & Woodhouse. The figure depicts a lady in a lavender and white dress seated on a swing suspended from a flowering tree branch. The tree is decorated with applied pink roses and two white doves. The figurine is finished with polychrome enamel and gilded accents to the lavender-coloured dress and base. The underside bears the Royal Worcester backstamp, title, sculptor’s name, and the limited edition number 1302 of 4,950. The lot includes the original presentation box and a certificate of authenticity corresponding to the edition number.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition with no evidence of chips, cracks, or repairs. The enamel work and gilding show no signs of wear.
