A poignant Second World War casualty group relating to a Royal Navy serviceman, identified by accompanying documentation as likely being named Knowles. The group includes a trio of campaign medals: the 1939-1945 Star, the Atlantic Star, and the War Medal 1939-1945. As is characteristic for British issues of this period, the medals are unnamed.
