A collection of five original Silver to Bronze Age comic books from the Marvel Comics Group series The Amazing Spider-Man. This lot includes issues dating from November 1969 to May 1970, featuring significant character debuts and cover art by the legendary John Romita Sr. Issue #78 (Nov 1969) is a notable key issue featuring the first appearance of the Prowler (Hobie Brown) and is a UK price variant marked 1/-. Issue #79 (Dec 1969) contains the second appearance of the Prowler. Issue #81 (Feb 1970) features the first appearance of the Kangaroo (Frank Oliver). Issue #83 (Apr 1970) features the first appearance of the Schemer (Richard Fisk). Issue #84 (May 1970) features the Kingpin.
