Lot 340: Art Deco Frosted Green Uranium Glass Comport Attributed to Bagley and Co

An Art Deco period pressed glass pedestal dish or comport, featuring a frosted satin finish in a pale green colour. The central well is decorated with a moulded design of rose blossoms, surrounded by a wide border of large serrated leaves. The piece is finished with a characteristic wavy undulating rim. The glass is mounted onto a flared plated metal pedestal base. Under ultraviolet light, the glass exhibits a strong neon green fluorescence, confirming the presence of uranium. This specific pattern is attributed to the British manufacturer Bagley and Co., produced circa 1930s.
