Lot 654: A Collection of Modern Carbon Fibre and Vintage Split Cane Fishing Rods

An assortment of fishing rods comprising modern carbon fibre and vintage split cane examples. The collection includes a Shimano Stradic Feeder medium-heavy 12ft rod with a cork handle and branded red velvet bag; an Abu Garcia Cobra Twin Tip carbon rod, 9ft 6ins (290cm), made in Korea; and a D.A.M Record Leger 9ft (2.70m) rod, Art.No 2392 274. The group also features several vintage split cane rods of multi-section bamboo construction, characterised by intermediate silk whippings and a mix of cork and wooden handles. The rods are accompanied by various protective cloth sleeves in red, tan, and black.
