Lot 197: Corgi Toys No. 200M Mechanical Ford Consul Saloon with Original Box and Leaflet

A vintage Corgi Toys No. 200M Mechanical Ford Consul Saloon. The model features a die-cast metal body finished in blue with silver-painted detailing on the front grille, headlights, and bumpers. It is equipped with a mechanical friction-drive motor featuring a ball-bearing mechanism. The black-painted metal baseplate is embossed with the manufacturer name CORGI in stylized script, BRITISH TOYS MADE, FORD CONSUL, and PATENT PENDING. There is also a small circular indentation marked OIL. The model is fitted with clear plastic window glazing and black rubber tyres on flat metal hubs. Included is the original blue illustrated cardboard box, which features the Corgi dog logo and the model number 200M. The lot also contains an original folded paper instruction leaflet produced by Playcraft Toys Ltd, London, which includes the text MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN and CORGI TOYS.
