Lot 431: Italian Murano Millefiori Glass Perfume Bottle with Stopper

An Italian millefiori glass perfume bottle of heavy paperweight construction. The vessel is formed from clear glass with an encased cobalt blue core. The base features a concentric millefiori pattern consisting of a central orange-red cane surrounded by rings of white star-patterned canes, some accented with yellow. The bottle has a squat, globular body and a flared rim. It is accompanied by a solid clear glass stopper with a spherical finial and a ground peg. Faint characters appearing to read MADE IN ITALY are visible around the shoulder of the inner blue section.
