Royal Doulton modelled as a hunched male figure carrying a large sack over his left shoulder. The character is portrayed wearing a peaked cap, trousers, and a shirt with a hand-painted blue-and-white checked pattern. The figure is captured in a dynamic pose that suggests the weight of his burden. The underside bears the underglaze factory backstamp for Royal Doulton.
