Lot 345: A Collection of Mineral and Geological Specimens

A collection of unmounted mineral and geological specimens of varying types, colours, and sizes. The assortment includes a large quartz specimen featuring a druse of clear-to-white crystals with a recessed dark purple amethyst point; a rocky matrix specimen encrusted on one side with a cluster of small, translucent green cubic fluorite crystals; a blocky, light-coloured specimen with pale purple-to-pinkish hues; a bright, translucent green fluorite fragment showing characteristic cleavage planes; two metallic, lead-grey specimens exhibiting metallic luster and cubic cleavage, identified as galena; a rounded, water-worn, translucent brownish nodule of chalcedony or flint; and a dark, granular-to-crystalline black mineral specimen. These items are consistent in appearance with specimens included in educational rock and mineral identification kits, such as those produced by Eisco.
