Lot 189: A Collection of 20th Century British, German and International Military and Civilian Badges, Medals and Commemorative Insignia

An assortment of military and civilian pins, badges and awards from the United Kingdom, Germany, United States and Eastern Bloc countries, presented on a green fabric mount. The collection includes a British National Fire Service (NFS) silver-tone star badge with red enamel central monogram under a king’s crown, two Women’s Voluntary Service (WVS) Civil Defence enamel badges, and several Masonic square and compasses pins. German Third Reich era items comprise a National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP) enamel lapel badge with the inscription NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE-D.A.P., an Iron Cross 2nd Class with suspension ring, a War Merit Cross with Swords, and various rank pips and eagle-and-swastika insignia. The lot also features contemporary souvenir-style enamel crosses with swastika motifs.
