Lot 393: A Blanes London Black Tiered Vintage Cocktail Dress

A vintage mid-century sleeveless cocktail dress by the London label Blanes. The dress is constructed with a black semi-sheer crepe or chiffon outer layer. It features a deep V-neckline to the front and back, with the bodice overlay revealing an underlying black floral lace panel. A wide gathered waistband is detailed with a large fixed decorative bow to the front. The skirt is formed of three gathered, tiered ruffles. The garment is secured with a central back metal zipper. The interior is partially lined with a light-coloured fabric and contains a woven maker’s label for Blanes London with a yellow size tag.
