Lot 454: 19th Century Thistlethwaite Coopered Ale Pitcher 27cm high
A 19th century coopered ale pitcher of regional English origin. The vessel is constructed with vertical staves tapering towards the rim, secured by four horizontal bands with overlapping riveted joints. It features a large C-shaped handle and a pouring spout reinforced with a collar at the rim. The underside of the base is incised with the name THISTLETHWAITE.
