Lot 47: A Silver Pocket Watch & AlbertChain with Fobs Chain & Fobs 34.1g Gross total weight 78g with pocket watch
An assortment of silver and metal items comprising a key-wind pocket watch and a curb-link Albert chain. The open-face pocket watch features a white dial with Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, and hand-painted blue floral decoration to the centre. The dial is marked James Grant Leeds and Swiss Made. The watch has a .935 silver case with an inner dust cover featuring two apertures. The Albert chain is fitted with a T-bar and dog-clip, and holds a variety of fobs. These fobs include a shield-shaped silver medal with a rose-gold coloured central cartouche, a circular silver medal, a 1917 United States Mercury dime, and a brass medallion featuring a cross to the obverse and the Lord’s Prayer to the reverse. Also attached is a brass watch key marked for J.W. Ramsay Felling On-Tyne. The silver components of the watch and chain feature multiple stamped markings and motifs.
