Lot 528: An Assortment of Decorative Brass and Copperware including Horse Brasses and a Miner Figurine

This collection of decorative metalware includes various brass and copper objects of traditional design. A hollow cast brass figurine depicts a coal miner in period dress leaning on a pickaxe with a safety lamp hanging from his belt, accompanied by a white card label handwritten in black marker reading EARLY TO MID 1970S WELSH COAL MINER FIGURENE HOLLOW CAST BRASS. A pair of brass bowls feature hand engraved fish and floral scrollwork with black filled detailing, accompanied by a white card label reading INDIAN BRASS BOWLS WITH FISH DETAIL MORADABAD. The collection includes several cast brass horse ornaments, including a rocking horse, a windmill, a horse and cart scene, a cathedral, and one piece bearing the raised text D A R T M O O R featuring two ponies. A wrought copper shoehorn of curved form is included alongside a small copper measure cup embossed with a bird emblem. A vintage orange toned tin with partial lettering reading S t r e p s i l s contains multiple small conical cast brass bells, some with integral hanging loops and iron clappers.
