Lot 543: A Collection of Four White Metal Bus and Coach Model Kits Including Pirate Models and GS Models
A collection of four white metal bus and coach model kits, all in an unassembled state. The group features models of British commercial vehicles from several specialist manufacturers. The components are constructed from unpainted cast white metal and include chassis members, body panels, wheels, and interior fittings such as seats and steering wheels.
One kit is contained in a cardboard box with a white adhesive label reading GS MODELS MODERNISED RF GREEN LINE COACH with glazing & transfers GS Models 19 Delorme St London W6 Temporary Label. The box also carries a yellow adhesive price sticker from THE MODEL SHOP NEWCASTLE 22016 for £8 99.
A second kit for a Leyland Cub includes a large printed instruction sheet with a header for HIGHWAY MODELS 20 CWMDONKIN TERRACE SWANSEA SA2 0RQ and is designated as KIT 3. This kit is accompanied by a sheet of waterslide transfers for BULMER’S CIDER HEREFORD and a section of clear plastic glazing.
A third kit is housed in a cardboard box with a gold-tone foil adhesive label stating 1975 LEYLAND NATIONAL DUAL DOOR SINGLE-DECK BUS KIT WITH REVISED AIR PACK. The included instruction sheet features a skull and crossbones logo and reads Pirate Models 6 Manor Hall Drive – London, NW4 1PB.
The fourth kit includes a typescript instruction sheet titled Instructions for the assembly of COTSWOLD 1929 DENNIS ‘E’ 31 SEAT SINGLE DECK BUS.
The various metal components are presented loose, fixed to original casting sprues, or contained within clear plastic bags. Internal protection is provided by foam inserts and paper wrapping.
