Lot 601: Beswick Blue Tit Bird Figurine Model 929

An English Beswick glazed ceramic figurine of a blue tit, depicted perched upon a tree stump base decorated with a large yellow flower. The bird is finished in a multi-coloured glaze, featuring blue wings and crown, white cheeks with black detailing, a yellow breast, and reddish-brown accents to the back. The tree stump base includes a single yellow flower with a brown centre. The unglazed underside of the base features a circular black printed mark containing the name BESWICK in the upper arc and ENGLAND in the lower arc. A separate black printed mark reading CANADA is positioned to the right of the circle, with the letters DES to the left. The model number 929 is impressed into the clay, alongside a second impressed mark reading ENGLAND near the outer rim.
