Lot 603: An English H & K Tunstall hand-painted earthenware bowl 28x28cm

An English hand-painted earthenware bowl. The circular vessel features a broad, inward-curving rim and is decorated to the interior and exterior with stylized anemone flowers in cobalt blue and rose pink with black outlines. These motifs are set against a background of swept brushstrokes in shades of lime green, ochre, and lavender. The base bears a black printed mark featuring a rampant lion within a rectangle above the text MADE IN ENGLAND H & K TUNSTALL. A hand-painted pattern number 404 above a stylized character is positioned to the right of the factory mark. Three unglazed spur marks from the kiln firing process are visible on the base.
