Lot 677: Trosa, Racing Horse and Jockey, resin Sculpture, 1987

A cold-cast bronze sculpture depicting a jockey in racing silks, helmet, and goggles hunched forward in an aerodynamic pose over a galloping horse. The horse is captured in a powerful stride with a flowing mane and tail. The entire figure is mounted on an integral rectangular base with a textured surface representing turf, which is set upon a tiered rectangular plinth of matching material. The sculpture features a deep chocolate-brown patinated finish with lighter highlights on the raised edges. An incised mark is visible on the textured base reading Trosa followed by a copyright symbol and the date 1987.
