A portrait of a three-masted ship in full sail navigating a choppy sea under a sunlit sky. The composition features the vessel centrally, shown navigating towards the right, with two smaller sails visible on the horizon. The works feature a prominent and uniform craquelure effect across the entire surface, characteristic of a decorative print or oilograph on board designed to simulate an antique oil painting. Housed in heavy, rococo style swept frames featuring shell and scroll composition moulding with a burnished gold finish.
