Lot 76: Art Deco sterling silver engine turned photograph frame Birmingham 1927 Silver content circa 150g net

A rectangular sterling silver photograph frame decorated with a guilloche engine turned pattern of horizontal undulating lines set within a plain polished silver border. The lower edge contains a vacant rectangular cartouche suitable for engraving. Four small quarter circle silver tabs secure the photo aperture at the corners. The frame is supported by a dark stained wooden backing and an integrated hinged easel stand held by two metal turn clips. The outer side edge of the frame bears a lion passant, an anchor, and a capital letter C within a square frame with clipped corners. Also present is a mark consisting of the letters J, W, and T, each within a separate circular surround.
