Lot 87: A 18 ct gold Art Deco tonneau-cased mechanical wristwatch by G.&.C.Ld and J.R Case Circa 6g net

A mechanical wristwatch featuring a tonneau-shaped case with scrolling foliate engraving along the edges. The aged gold-tone dial displays stylised Arabic numerals, a railway-track minute border, and a sub-seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position. The watch contains a Swiss-made manual movement with a lever escapement. It is attached to a distressed brown leather strap with a gold-tone buckle. The interior of the case back is marked with G.&.C.Ld and J.R within ovals, alongside the word SWITZERLAND. A profile mark of a woman’s head and 18K in a rectangular cartouche are also present. The case is numbered 140665.
