Lot 229: A Collection of Royal Albert Old Country Roses Pattern Tableware

A collection of fine bone china tableware in the Old Country Roses pattern. The pieces feature fluted bodies decorated with clusters of deep red, pink, and yellow roses with green foliage, finished with sponged gold-tone gilding to the rims. The collection includes two round lidded tureens with domed lids and scalloped gold-tone handles, a large oval serving platter, and a large sauce boat with a corresponding underplate featuring a scroll handle. Also present is a tall fluted creamer and a smaller version of the same form, alongside a small lidded sugar bowl with a gold-tone finial. A stack of six shallow rimmed soup plates or bowls is included, along with further assorted stacked plates and saucers.
