Lot 366: An Assortment of Classical and Fashion Figurines

An assortment of five decorative figurines of cast resin and composite construction. Included is a figure of a female traveller in mid-twentieth-century attire, featuring a wide-brimmed hat, blazer, and pleated skirt, standing beside two stacked hatboxes. The figure is mounted on a square black wooden plinth. An adhesive gold oval label on the base of the figure reads FLORENCE above a script signature reading Giuseppe Armani. A classical group reproduction depicts the myth of Apollo and Daphne, showing the figures at the moment of transformation into a laurel tree, finished in matte white. The base is incised with the Greek characters ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝ ΔΑΦΝΗ. A standing female figure in classical drapery, finished in an ivory tone, features a rectangular base incised with the characters ΤΑΝΑΓΡΑ. Another ivory-toned standing female figure in a pensive pose with hand to chin is mounted on a circular base incised with the characters ΚΟΡΗ. Completing the collection is a white matte finish figure of a partially draped female holding fabric above her head.
