Lot 39: A Pair of Niger 2021 Elizabeth II Sovereign Commemorative 1/200 oz 999 Fine Gold Proof Coins

A pair of commemorative proof coins issued by the Republic of Niger in 2021. Each coin is struck in 999 fine gold with a weight of 1/200 oz and a diameter of 40 mm. The obverse depicts the national coat of arms of Niger with the legend REPUBLIQUE DU NIGER 2021 and a face value of 100 FRANCS CFA. The reverse features a stylized collage titled MOST FAMOUS GOLD COINS celebrating the Elizabeth II Sovereign, including depictions of the 1957 Mary Gillick portrait and the St. George and the Dragon design.

Each coin is presented in a black and clear acrylic screw-down display case. Accompanying the coins are two matching ECHTHEITS-ZERTIFIKAT certificates of authenticity, printed in German, English, and French. One certificate bears the serial number 01412 and the other 00625, both referencing a limited mintage of 2,000 pieces and technical specifications. The lot includes clear protective plastic sleeves; one sleeve features an intact red adhesive seal sticker depicting a crest, while the other sticker has been cut to open the flap.
