Lot 429: A Pair of Cast Metal Stag Pattern Hurricane Candle Holders

A pair of decorative hurricane candle holders in a rustic lodge style. Each holder is constructed from cast metal with a dark brown textured faux-rust finish. The pieces feature a square stepped pedestal base leading to a fluted circular stem. The central candle platform consists of a circular openwork lattice base with scroll motifs. Two opposing stag heads flank the platform, each cast with detailed features and multi-pointed antlers that curve upward to cradle the glass inserts. The two clear glass hurricane cylinders are simple in form and rest within the recessed platform. There are no visible maker’s marks or labels on the metal bases or the glass cylinders.
