Lot 571: C & A R P Cast Metal Nautical Galleon Doorstop
A vintage cast iron doorstop of nautical interest, designed as a Spanish galleon in full sail. The three-dimensional relief casting depicts the vessel cresting stylized waves with billowing sails and twin masts topped with pennant flags. The front surface features a decorative brass-toned electroplated finish, while the reverse is finished in black paint with an integrated weighted base. The reverse shows an impressed rectangular mark reading C & A R P Nº 1443.
