Lot 63: Sterling Silver and Carved Mother of Pearl Folding Button Hook Sheffield 1896

A Victorian folding button hook featuring a sterling silver hook and bolsters. The handle is mounted with carved mother of pearl scales, decorated with sunburst and diagonal geometric line patterns secured by two pins. A fan-shaped silver bolster is situated at the pivot, and the butt end is fitted with a silver suspension bail. The tang of the hook is struck with three hallmarks: a crown town mark, a lion passant purity mark, and a lowercase date letter.
