Lot 91: A Trio of Alexander Clark Company Ltd Sterling Silver Graduated Cups Circa 49g

A trio of graduated sterling silver cups in a classic goblet form with turned stems and circular stepped bases. Each cup is marked with a set of English hallmarks on the exterior rim including a Birmingham anchor, a lion passant, and individual date letters. The largest cup features the maker mark of an oval containing the characters AC CO over LD, followed by the date letter N. The medium cup bears the same maker and standard marks with the date letter M. The smallest cup bears the same marks with the date letter L. Three accompanying handwritten adhesive labels on card are present, reading ALEXANDER CLARK COMPANY LTD. BIRMINGHAM 1935, ALEXANDER CLARK COMPANY LTD. BIRMINGHAM 1936, and ALEXANDER CLARK COMPANY LTD. BIRMINGHAM 1937 respectively.
