Lot 104: A Pair of Edward Jackson Watercolours, North East England Landmarks

A pair of original watercolour paintings on paper by the artist Edward Jackson. The first work, titled Snow at Penshaw, depicts the neoclassical Penshaw Monument set within a winter landscape featuring a snow-covered hillside, wire fencing, and a bare tree. The second work, titled The Watch House Cullercoats, shows the coastal landmark with its distinctive clock tower and red tiled roof, overlooking the sea with gulls in flight. Both pieces are signed E Jackson in the lower right corner. The verso of each frame retains the original artist’s label providing the titles, medium, and the artist’s contact details at 87 Hampton Road, North Shields. The paintings are presented in matching dark wood frames with cream textured mounts and are glazed.
