Lot 136: A Pair of Victorian Emerald Green Ribbed Glass Apothecary Jars 20cm tall

A pair of Victorian pharmaceutical display jars of emerald green glass construction. Each jar has a cylindrical body featuring vertical fluting and a rounded shoulder leading to a short neck. The jars are fitted with corresponding green glass stoppers, each topped with a flat rectangular finial. Centred on each jar is a rectangular label-under-glass with a gilt border. One jar bears a brown label with black text reading PLUMB: ACET: and the other features a red label with black text reading SAL: LIMONIS.
