A coastal landscape watercolour on paper with bodycolour highlights by Harry Sticks (1867-1938), depicting a sandy beach with rocky outcrops and a calm sea. The work is signed HARRY STICKS. in block capitals in the lower left corner. The reverse bears a printed rectangular dealer label for GEORGE HUGHES, FINE ART DEALER, BEWICK HOUSE, 50 & 52, PILGRIM STREET, NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE and a yellow adhesive inventory sticker reading 61436. The painting is housed in a foliate-carved gilded gesso frame with a wide gilded mount and a wooden backing board.
