Edwardian panoramic watercolour with gouache highlights on paper by W.T.Nichols Boyce, dated 1904. The horizontal composition depicts a steam tug towing a two-masted sailing vessel through a heavy swell under a moonlit sky, with a full moon breaking through dark clouds. The work is signed and dated to the lower right in brown pigment W. T. Nichols Boyce 1904 with a single underline. It is presented in a modern gilt-finished frame behind a textured cream-coloured mat.
