Lot 173: A Pair of Chinese Miniature Cloisonne Enamel Vases mini 5cm height

A pair of miniature Chinese cloisonne enamel baluster-shaped vases. Each vase is constructed with a brass body and features wirework cloisons filled with coloured enamels. Both vases are decorated with a repetitive ruyi or cloud pattern on a white ground. One vase displays polychrome butterflies in shades of blue and teal, while the other features a large peony flower in pink and red tones with green foliage. The vases include dark blue enamelled bands at the neck and foot. The interiors and the undersides of the bases are finished in turquoise-blue enamel.
