Lot 176: Two Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Lidded Canisters mini 5cm height

This lot consists of two Chinese cloisonne enamel lidded canisters. The first is of barrel-form with a cobalt blue ground decorated with a yellow bird in flight and a pink peony blossom. The second is of four-lobed begonia form with a black ground featuring white cranes in flight against a fish-scale pattern and a pine branch motif to the lid. Both items are constructed from gilt-metal with wirework cloisons and finished with ruyi-head or floral scroll borders. The interiors and bases are finished with a mottled turquoise enamel. The base of the barrel canister bears a rectangular paper label with handwritten numerals 412340 over 47.
