Lot 180: A pair of Royal Doulton stoneware vases pattern 8079 by Florrie Jones 18cm tall

A pair of Royal Doulton stoneware cabinet vases of bulbous form tapering to a flared neck. The lower section of each vase is finished in a deep cobalt blue high-gloss glaze. The upper neck features a band of raised tubelined scrolling foliate motifs against an olive-brown ground, enclosing pale grey-blue cartouches. The decoration is accented with small white slip beads and blue floral medallions. The base of each vase bears the impressed Royal Doulton England lion mark and the pattern number 8079. Both vases also feature the incised artist monogram fj for Florrie Jones.
