Lot 227: A Collection of Eight Alfasur Cerámica Spanish Hand Painted Ceramic Insect Wall Decorations

A collection of eight hand painted ceramic insect wall decorations by Alfasur Cerámica, Spain. The set comprises four butterflies, three dragonflies, and one ladybird. The ceramic forms are finished in polychrome glazes with vibrant hand painted patterns. The butterflies include a large example decorated in blue, black, and orange with wire antennae, a medium example with green and yellow patterning, a tiger-stripe patterned example in yellow and black, and a smaller blue and orange butterfly. The three dragonflies feature various colour combinations of red, green, orange, and yellow. The ladybird is of a rounded form in red with black spots and yellow eye details. The undersides are partially glazed and feature integrated hanging points. Marks include the Alfasur Cerámica circular stamp with three stylized vessels, Spain, and Hand Painted, alongside markings for Mijas Made in Spain.
