Lot 262: Royal Worcester Blush Ivory Porcelain Pitcher Shape 1094 Dated 1890 16cm tall

A Royal Worcester porcelain pitcher in the Blush Ivory style, manufactured in 1890. The vessel features a matte ivory ground decorated with hand-painted floral sprays including chrysanthemums and autumnal maple leaves in pink, purple, blue, and green, accented with gilded outlines. The form is shape number 1094, defined by a naturalistic trefoil scalloped rim and a scrolled, foliate-capped handle. The handle and pedestal base are finished in heavy gilding. The underside bears a purple printed Royal Worcester factory mark with a crown and date code letter a for 1890, the registered design number Rd No 29115, and the shape number 1094. Reddish-brown hand-painted initials PE are also visible.
