Lot 269: Royal Albert Old Country Roses Montrose Vase

A Royal Albert fine bone china vase in the Old Country Roses pattern. The vessel is of Montrose form, featuring a slender baluster body with a fluted and scalloped rim and a matching flared, scalloped base. The white ground is decorated with transfer-printed clusters of burgundy, pink, and yellow roses with green foliage, including sprigs to the interior rim. Hand-applied gold gilding finishes the rim and base. The underside bears the multi-coloured Royal Albert backstamp with the pattern name, BONE CHINA, ENGLAND, and © 1962 ROYAL ALBERT LTD. The number 39 is printed in brown to the side of the mark.
