Lot 275: A Melba Ware ceramic panda bear figurine 30x32cm

A Melba Ware ceramic figurine of a giant panda, modelled in a naturalistic crouching posture. The figure is crafted from glazed pottery with hand-painted black and white markings. The white sections display an extensive fine-veined crazing or crackle-effect glaze, while the black areas have a smooth high-gloss finish. The eyes are detailed with painted pupils and irises. The underside of the figurine features an impressed mark reading MADE IN ENGLAND.
