Lot 290: An Ornate Standing Brass Altar Crucifix and Wooden Bead Rosary 33cm high

A cast brass standing altar crucifix of ornate ecclesiastical design. The piece features a scrolled and foliate base supporting a cross with decorative terminals and acanthus leaf motifs. Centrally mounted to the cross is a corpus of Christ, surmounted by a cast scroll bearing the inscription INRI. The crucifix is constructed from multiple cast components secured by a central threaded metal rod and nut assembly, visible on the underside of the base. The metal retains a naturally aged dark golden patina. Accompanying the crucifix is a rosary composed of turned dark brown wooden beads connected by a metal chain, terminating in a small cast metal crucifix.
