Lot 291: Victorian Rococo Revival Cast Brass Inkstand and Letter Rack

A late 19th-century cast brass inkstand and letter rack featuring an ornate triple-slot stationery holder. The structure is decorated with intricate openwork C-scrolls, acanthus leaves, and figural elements, including two seated cherubs flanking a central floral basket and a standing cherub finial holding two discs. The wide base incorporates a central recessed pen tray with low-relief floral motifs. Two hinged, circular inkwells are positioned to the sides, each with a domed lid, knop finial, and gadrooned detailing. The entire stand is supported on four bracket feet with integrated cast mascaron faces. Two removable metal liners are included.
