An antique Remington Standard Typewriter No. 10, a visible writing model featuring an open-frame cast-iron body with a black enamelled finish. The typewriter is fitted with a four-bank QWERTY keyboard featuring glass-topped keys with white faces and nickel-plated rims. A five-key decimal tabulator row is positioned above the main keyboard. The machine is equipped with a bicolour red and black ribbon. The paper table displays the Remington name in gold-tone serif lettering and carries a circular red and yellow dealer decal for Thos. H. Peck Ltd, Edinburgh. The front frame is inscribed Remington Standard Typewriter No. 10. The carriage rail is marked Carriage A. The keyboard includes the British pound sterling symbol, fractions including 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 5/8, and 7/8, alongside the @ and & symbols.
