An antique pharmaceutical shop-round bottle constructed from amethyst-tinted glass. The vessel features a recessed, curved rectangular vitrified label protected by a thin glass cover. The label is reverse-painted with a gold-leaf border and black lettering reading TINCT: CHLOROFORMI CO:, an abbreviation for Compound Tincture of Chloroform. The bottle is fitted with its original ground-glass stopper, which has a flattened, rectangular tab-style top.
