Lot 316: Attributed to an Imperial German WWI M16 Stahlhelm Steel Helmet Eisenhüttenwerke Thale ET64
An Imperial German M16 Stahlhelm steel helmet manufactured by Eisenhüttenwerke Thale. The heavy steel shell features stepped ventilation lugs to either side, designed for the attachment of a Stirnpanzer brow plate. The interior features original chinstrap mounting brackets riveted to the skirt and three liner-retaining rivets. The interior left skirt is stamped with the manufacturer mark and size ET64. A heating lot number 791 is stamped to the interior crown rim. The exterior retains sections of original field-grey paint.
