The steel crossguard incorporates a muzzle ring for rifle attachment, and the steel pommel contains a spring-loaded locking catch.

The obverse ricasso is stamped with a Tudor crown above the pattern number 1907, the manufacture date 5 08 (May 1908), and the maker code EFD. The reverse ricasso bears a Broad Arrow government property mark, two opposing arrows indicating the item was sold out of service, an X blade bending test mark, and various Enfield inspection stamps consisting of crowns over the letter E and numerical digits. The pommel is stamped with the unit rack identification numbers 3 over 117.

The accompanying scabbard consists of a leather body with steel mounts. The steel locket features a teardrop-shaped frog stud, and the steel chape protects the tip. Both metal scabbard components bear stamped Enfield inspection marks.
