Lot 482: A Large Aquamarine Glass Demijohn Carboy 56x38cm

A utilitarian aquamarine glass demijohn of globular form. The vessel is mould-blown with a visible vertical seam running through the body and neck. It features a short neck terminating in a threaded rim designed for a screw-top closure. The base is of a deep kick-up or pushed-in design. There are no maker’s marks or embossed characters visible. The glass contains scattered air bubbles and surface variations characteristic of the manufacturing process.
