Lot 490: A set of five Wade ceramic NatWest piggy bank money boxes

A set of five glazed ceramic money boxes produced by Wade Ceramics for National Westminster Bank. The collection comprises the family of anthropomorphic characters known as Sir Nathaniel, Lady Hillary, Barnaby, Annabel, and Woody. Each figure is finished with a high-gloss glaze and polychrome decoration. The base of the Woody figure features an incised Wade England mark. The money boxes are fitted with black rubber stoppers, with at least one embossed with the NatWest logo.
